1. Access the My Permissions Section
To view your own permissions:
In the platform, click on your profile icon or name in the top-right corner of the screen.
In the dropdown menu, you will see an option labelled “My Permissions”. Click on it to access the permissions page.
2. Viewing Your Permissions
On the My Permissions page, you will be able to see:
A list of all the permissions you currently have on the platform.
For each permission, the associated group(s) from which you have received that permission will be displayed. This allows you to understand which group(s) granted you specific access rights.
3. Understanding Your Permissions
Each permission will be listed along with its description and the group that provides it. This helps you see whether your permissions are coming from roles like Admin, User, Guest, or any custom groups you may belong to.
You can also identify if your permissions are inherited from multiple groups, helping you understand the full scope of your access.
4. Why It’s Useful
Viewing your permissions allows you to understand your level of access to different areas of the platform and ensures transparency about what actions and data you can interact with.
If you think you need more permissions or want to request changes, knowing where your permissions come from can help you communicate effectively with your admin.
